RESEARCH
I specialise in all types of Bedfordshire research including Family and Local History,
House Histories and Manorial Histories.
I also undertake research in the surrounding counties of Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire,
Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. Research in other counties can be
arranged through my network of contacts.
I provide a full record transcription or calendar service for those difficult to read
documents.
EXPERIENCE
I am a member of AGRA (Association of Genealogists and Reserachers in Archives) who
operate a comprehensive code of practice and have many years experience in providing a
professional research service.
CHARGES
I charge £12 per hour for my services and prefer overseas clients to pay by Paypal or money order/bankers draft in UK pounds sterling. Alternatively, fees can be paid by
personal cheque in all the major foreign currencies and I will then deduct the cost of
conversion into Pounds Sterling. Payment in cash is sent at the clients own risk.
I also charge for copy certificates, photocopies, digital images, admission costs to
Record Offices (where applicable), travelling expenses and postage. These are all charged
at cost to me.

Records
The sources searched are tailored to meet the individual
needs of each client.
These include:
Civil registration of Births, Marriages and Deaths from 1837
Census returns for 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911
Parish registers and records from 1538
Probate records - wills, administrations and inventories
Manorial records
Property records - estate, enclosure, tithe, deeds, leases
